library is pleased to offer access to the Internet and World Wide Web. We
also offer dedicated access to InfoTrac, LearnATest, Learn2 and GALILEO
databases. Printing fees are $.15 per page.

InfoTrac is a general interest database that integrates a variety of sources
in one interface including newspapers, reference books and periodicals, many
with full-text and images. Accessible only at Dougherty County Public
Libraries.

| Learn2 | |
| Learn2
offers an on-line, self-paced, multi-media learning opportunity. Learn2's
"Office Plus Library" offers courses in the most popular desktop
applications, including word processing, presentations, spreadsheets and
database applications. In addition, computer maintenance and Internet topics
are included. The "Technology Plus Library" offers certification training
for Cisco's CCNA, Microsoft's MCSE, MCDBA, and Sun's Certified Java
Programmer certificates. Courses in key areas of programming, web
development and operating systems training are available. Password access is
required. Accessible only at Dougherty County Public Libraries.

and interactive practice exams that will help improve scores on academic,
civil service, military and professional licensing and certification exams.

| GALILEO | |
| GALILEO, an initiative of the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia, stands for GeorgiA LIbrary LEarning Online. A World Wide Web-based virtual library, GALILEO provides access to to multiple information resources, including over 100 databases indexing thousands of periodicals and scholarly journals. Other resources include encyclopedias, business directories and government publications. For home or office use, password access to GALILEO database ( www.galileo.usg.edu ) is available. You must be a registered library patron to obtain the password. Please inquire at any public service desk. |
