Library Cards

Library cards are free to all residents of Georgia and persons who attend school, own property, or are employed in Georgia. Property owners who do not reside in Georgia will be required to show proof of ownership. Persons employed in Georgia  or attending school in Georgia will be required to show proof of employment or enrollment. Out-of-state cards are available to persons living outside Georgia for a $25 annual fee due at time of issue. There is no minimum age for a child to receive a PINES card. A parent or legal guardian with proper ID must register a child under 18. Proof of residency is required when applying for a card. Picture identification is necessary. Other items such as insurance cards or any identification with a current home address will be accepted to supplement the picture ID, if current address varies. Replacement cards can be obtained for a $2.00 charge.
