If you are over 55 and have a vision and hearing loss, you are invited to participate in a 3-5 year study group. The study group will be used to examine the impact of the secondary sensory loss on transportation, community access and usage, and employment. Involvement will be primarily in the form of volunteer surveys and interviews. If you are interested in participating or would like more information, please contact:

A Georgia Library for the Blind patron, Alice Ritchhart from Brunswick, has been asked to be a representative to the National Library Service (NLS) collection development committee. Ms. Ritchhart will be going to Washington in May for the first meeting of her two year term. The Georgia Coalition Employment Network is a listserv for job seekers who are blind or have low vision, potential employers, and service providers. The purpose of the listserv is to post information on employment opportunities, resources, upcoming events such as “Let's Get Ready to Work” workshops, and resource and network fairs.
